2nd. Annual Spelling Bee Contest

1/ All words will be placed in a box and used at random

2/ pieces of paper with numbers 1-6 will be placed in a box. All contestants will
Select a piece of paper, to determine the order in which they will participate in the spelling bee

3/ teacher will select a word from the “Word Box” at random and read the word aloud

4/ Contestant may ask to have the word repeated, just once.

5/ Contestant should repeat the word for clarification

6/ Contestant will start to spell the word, and can ask, just once, to start over.

7/ when they have spelled the word, they should again, repeat the word, to let the judges know they have completed their turn.

8/ If all the words from the Word Box are used, words will then be asked from a list prepared by the teachers, of words that were not provided to the contestants.
9/ Time limit to spell the word will be 30 seconds.
